These are the terms for using Hearth, the shared household app made by Roads Untraveled. Using the app means you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past, so they are short.
Hearth keeps one home's groceries, chores, meals, dates, notes and pets shared across its members' phones. It is for households, not businesses. You are responsible for who you invite in: anyone holding your household's house key or an unexpired invite can read and change what is in it.
Every list and screen, every member and phone, the morning digest, end-to-end encryption and export are free, and stay free. We will not put something you already had behind a price.
Features that read a photo, a link or a voice clip use a paid AI service each time. Each household gets five such captures a month for free. A Household subscription makes them unlimited for everyone in the household.
How Hearth handles your data is set out on the privacy page. Your household's content is encrypted with a key we never hold, which means we cannot recover it for you if every phone in the household loses it. Keep a copy of your house key.
Don't use Hearth to store anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to probe or overload the service. We may suspend a household that does.
Hearth is provided as it is. We keep it running with care but do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using it, and our liability is in any case limited to what you have paid us in the past twelve months.
We may update these terms as the app changes; the date at the top tells you when. Questions go to contact@whativeheard.com.
